The SI 200 is a changeover system especially designed to suit Analog or serial Digital Video signals. It works at the same time with Analog or AES/EBU digital audio. Because of that flexibility, SI 200 can perfectly fit Your needs in mixed-format and all-digital television. SI 200 provides 4 user-configurable channels in 2 U, each one consisting of primary and backup source input and an output. It is possible to set the video channel for serial digital or analog (analog can also be set for PAY or composite signal). Audio channel may be set for analog or AES/EBU digital. Working configurations are by internal DIP-switch and jumpers. Fault detection of individual channels may be disabled, so the user can choose to disable changeover to the backup source on failure of not critical signals to the selected operation mode. During the switch-on-fault mode, the SI 200 will automatically select the backup source, should any of the primary input fail. In the unlikely event both sources are faulty, the system will not alternate between the two sources. Manual source selection may also facilitate periodic testing of system function. Switching is by mechanical relay with all channels switched simultaneously. Front panel controls are provided for source selection, operating mode and for disabling the front panel controls. LED indicators are provided for unit on line, operating mode and Video selection. Each control panel is also available via remote RS485 connector, and can be partially mirrored with an external panel. It is possible to control each chanel by the switch-on-fault section, or by an external link locked to a master section, or by a simple remote switch.
